Brae Arden Herefords

They are possibly the oldest in-bred herd of cattle in existence today. They were originated in 1925, in Laramie Wyoming , and are not related to most Herefords lines. They go back to Anxiety 4th. There have been no outside blood lines used in over 80 years now. It is a small herd of about 20 head that was started as an experiment by my father ,"Bob" R.G. Gietz. We have tried to do some selection within the line but never wavered from the inbreeding program. Our original herd sire was Bonnie Arden the first. We have maintained the registrations with the American Hereford Association.  We welcome inquires and have available a complete history in booklet form. If interested please contact us and it can be sent to you by return mail.
